They are soldiers in rocket ships,
Spraying stories in Milky way,
They're prompts for poetry,
inspired by the spit of the king,
and by the smell of a solid girl,
when the sun hit the right place,
the tales of the world
are done on soles
in exquisite calligraphy.

Reading Is Knowing!

Reading helps,
Reading opens our eyes.
The school is out,
The concert is on.
The books are on sale,
The bakery is open.
We read to know,
and to expect the result.
Awesome business in town,
Square root of a negative number such as 1 is i.
Shopping at department store, we walk,
We speak and discuss options to options.
Reading printed words is good,
Reading others' body language or verbal expression takes wit. for image credit....Musicians on hot spots....December 4, 2012...

Dutch ( Culture or Language Related to Netherlands or Holland) By Kay Ryan

Much of life
is Dutch
in which
legions of
big robust
people crouch.
badly cracked
dike systems
by the thumbs.
their wide
balloon-pantsed rump
up-ended to the
northern sun
while, back
in town, little
tulip magnates
stride around.

Morning Birds

Grasshopper Sparrow
by on birds

Morning birds sing songs for you,
They work hard to entertain,
Their voices are vivid,
Their wisdom is charming,
They are black, or white,
Mixed with grey, enchanting;
The moments are brief,
The satisfaction is wholesome,
like the quick pour of love relief,
morning birds discover joy our of you, winsome,
time, what remarkable experience to oneself.

Remember by Brittany Vigoreaux

American soldiers sacrifice so much,
All for the freedom of our country.
Leaving their families and heading off to war,
Not knowing what the future holds.

Working day and night
Determined to stay strong.
Watching friends be killed every day
Letters from home inspiring them to keep fighting

So little is given to them
Although there is little to do,
For those who have died in war
We can still remember

Remember all the men who have died.
Remember all the battles fought
Remember all the tears families cried
Remember it was freedom the soldiers brought

To this very day soldiers are under-appreciated
Veterans Day is the day
For the dead, living, and fighting soldiers
To be remembered

Fried Dumplings (Vote Before Go For It Today at Lunch!)

Born in favor of
fried dumplings, Henry and Timonthy
can have them any time.
To cook frozen ones,
Pour a teaspoon oil, fill the
pan, add water, cook
Until it's boiling,
continue with big fire, eat
when water is gone.
It could cost at least
five dollars to buy a share
of well done dumplings.

October Treasure In Haiku

                                                               Reindeer in Woods

Blue sky, sunny day,
Cheerful birds, crowded highways,
Minds fully wired.
Green trees, soft breeze, Fall,
Turning wheels, speed limit, go
let turn, right turn, stop!
With destination,
Time, gas, and satisfaction
done with distant calls.
The autumn season,
Cooler air, plus thicker cloths,
proper adjustments!

An award, a chicken, some smiles, Thanks a big deal to hyde park poetry,   I feel tickled.

For week 76, i wish to nominate  Taylor Kong Boomer  ...

Haiku on Husky The Special Dogs

 Husky Sledding

Huge sledding dogs,
Eskimos' helper, good strength,
Husky are useful.
Snow-covered valley,
Thin air, husky are climbing,
heavy loads behind.
Better than pet dogs,
Strong energy in healthy
husky, apt workers.
Icy road, husky breathe,
sorrow and pain drop beneath,
hero dogs on earth.

The Crickets' Holiday By Bernard R. Jacob

In the stubble the crickets dance
For it is their festive day.
They dance, sing, cavort and prance
To their fiddler's tuneful play.
Warmth wan October's coaxing heat,
and lends music magic to their feet;
For autumn now is walking fast-
of their rendezvous, this is the last.
