The Unknown characters of You and Me! (4 Poets Rally Week 77)

There exist landscapes of hidden divisions:
The birds we cannot see sing us awake,
Parting the morning from rest of the day.
I'm curious about objects
appearing in my car mirrors
at false distance
in the back...
Look at the places on maps
with boundaries as scars,
stitches of twisted lines,
safe-guarding earthly continents,
muddy rivers or rocky mountains,
the country of colorful faces.
Stars wink at us,
Tides record the moon's positions,
street lights shine at dark corners,
crimes bloom in unseen shadows,
naked bodies consume energy
as clouds whiten the horizon!
